Old and New Mingle Along Cottage Street
The stately and historic Littleton Opera House, with its clock tower and beautifully restored Grand Hall, anchors the intersection of Main, Union and Cottage streets. Along Cottage Street many of the handsome “cottages” that gave the street its name generations ago still stand.
The busy thoroughfare is home to a full-service bike and fitness shop, a member-owned grocery store and cafe featuring many locally produced products, and a seasonal ice cream shop that is a favorite stop during the warm weather months.
Visitors will also find a restaurant with a taproom highlighting regional beers, a pet-friendly hotel, a metaphysical wellness center with its own garden labyrinth, a farm and garden supply store, and a truck and tire business. The gas station and convenience store directly off Exit 41 of I-93 on Cottage Street is also the stop for Concord Coach Lines, with service to Boston.
Veterans Bridge spanning the Ammonoosuc River has expansive views of the river and provides a different aspect of the town that has flourished along its banks for hundreds of years.
