North West

Littleton’s NorthWest District is Worth Exploring

When you are out and about exploring our pretty White Mountains town, don’t overlook the Littleton NorthWest district. The Beal House, with both dining and lodging options, is the landmark to look for.

Continue on West Main Street, aka Route 18, and make a stop at the beautiful Glenwood Cemetery, with its many historic monuments. An annual Cemetery Walk presented by the Littleton Historic Museum is held here each fall, with volunteers in period dress re-enacting the lives of some of Littleton’s former residents.

This district includes a veterinarian’s hospital (helpful if you are travelling with your pet and encounter an emergency) and several offices with a variety of business services.

In addition to the Beal House, visitors can find comfortable lodging at the Maple Leaf Motel and Country Squire Inn, both on West Main Street.

The Littleton Regional Hospital campus offers an impressive array of healthcare options for visitors and community members and is conveniently located just off Exit 43 on I-93, and is also accessible via West Main/Route 18.

One of the delights of the Littleton NorthWest district is its beautiful and varied scenery!

The district begins on West Main Street and wends its way along West Main, aka NH Route 18 North, all the way to its intersection with Route 135 South (the St. Johnsbury Road); follow Route 135 South/NH Route 18 and you’ll pass by the hospital campus on your right. If you continue on you’ll soon arrive at Moore Dam and Reservoir where there are several boat landings and places to picnic and swim.
